After the devastation of Hurricane Helene in 2024, we took the time to fully remodel the inn and are excited that the area is completely reopen and ready for visitors. The inn has five rooms and suites to choose from. The main inn includes the Dogwood, Poplar and Cherry Blossom rooms as well as the Chestnut Suite located on the main floor. If you’re looking for extra privacy our Rhododendron House is a freestanding cottage next door. Whichever room or suite you select, you will be overlooking five acres of property that include ponds, streams and lush greenery to ensure your getaway allows you to relax and recharge.

During your visit you will get to experience Innkeeper and Chef Victor Johnston’s delicious catering. With a background in events and catering, Chef Victor curates delectable dishes to craft the perfect culinary creation. A three-course breakfast is included daily with each stay (8-9 a.m. on weekdays and 8-9:30 a.m. on weekends). Start your day with a fresh hot coffee from Smoky Mountain Roasters or tea. Next, it’s time for a made-from-scratch baked pastry followed by a full hot breakfast including fresh fruit and a main entrée. Coffee, tea and snacks are available all day. If you’re looking to really embrace all that Red Leaf River Inn has to offer, you can add on a dining package that includes dinner.

When you aren’t eating or taking in the scenic views you can make the quick 10-minute drive to downtown Waynesville, NC. Experience dining, shopping and Blue Ridge Parkway. We’re also only one hour from Asheville, NC, two hours from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN, and three hours from Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA.
